Emergency Garage Door Repair Across Park City
A door stuck open or stuck shut is an emergency, and so is a crashed door that has to be secured. Emergency calls after hours come straight to me. If your door won’t close, give me a call at (801) 682-7586.

When Replacement Makes More Sense Than Repair
I’d rather fix a door than sell you a new one, and most of the time the repair is the right call. When a door’s old and worn out, though, I’ll tell you plainly it’s time for a new one.
I install insulated doors at whatever R-value fits how you use the garage, and full-view aluminum and glass doors too. An opener is a separate purchase, with a small discount when you buy it with a door. I’m an authorized dealer for Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Hormann and Martin.
Every install is backed by warranty, and the terms are on my warranty page.
Garage Door Services I Offer
I install and repair garage doors for homes and businesses across Salt Lake County, southern Davis County and Park City. Every job comes with a tune-up. I tighten loose bolts, lube the moving parts and adjust the springs if they need it, then inspect the whole door so you know its full condition. I’m licensed and insured, and the work is warranty-backed.

Replacing a Garage Door in Park City
If your home’s in one of Park City’s historic districts, work that changes the outside of the house, or that needs a building permit, goes through the city’s historic district review. A pre-application with the Planning Department is strongly recommended, and after reviewing it, the Planning Director decides case by case whether a smaller job, like replacing a door where one already is, is exempt from that review. Check with Planning before you order.
The city’s building page says you need a permit unless the work is exempt, and it doesn’t list garage doors either way, so the building department is the one to ask.
In a registered HOA, if the job needs a building permit, the city requires an HOA notification form with the application. HOA approval itself is yours to handle. In my experience, a door in the same style as the one you have hasn’t been an issue, but any change goes through the HOA first.
If you’re weighing a new door in Park City, I’m at (801) 682-7586 and happy to go over the options.

Garage Door Notes for Park City Homeowners
I diagnose the door before I replace anything. Most parts are already on the truck, so most jobs get finished the same day I’m out.
If someone quotes you 50,000-cycle springs, I’d question it. By my math those springs would have to be over 4 feet long each. I can give you the exact spring measurements for each cycle rating so you can check with whoever quoted you.
Before a spring or an opener goes, the door usually starts to struggle or only opens a little before stopping. Most of the time, though, it just won’t open at all.
I don’t usually recommend a floor threshold, since in most cases it fights the bottom seal that’s already there. A seal in good shape handles most floors, so the real question is whether the seal’s shot or the concrete isn’t level.
