They responded quickly and were able to get in to see us the next day. The issue was fixed promptly at a very reasonable rate. We have their sticker up in the garage and will be sure to call them first if we ever need anything else.

Our garage door would screech and wake up the entire house for years. Brandon at uplifting garage doors came and was professional, efficient, and quick! He is a miracle worker, our garage door is SILENT! We are so so happy with Uplifting Garage Doors, we should have gone to them years ago

My garage broke while we were out of town so coming home to that was extremely stressful. Brandon was so quick to respond, came to check out our garage same day, and had the parts to fix it on hand so we are back up and running. Very grateful for his expertise!

Update 1.5 years later. Brandon came back out to examine an interesting noise, turns out that a trim nail popped out and was scraping on the door. He fixed that, nailed the trim again, and lubed the rollers. I won’t use anyone but Brandon for my garage door needs! Our experience with Brandon and Uplifting Garage Doors was incredible! Brandon took time to understand what our issues were, help us find a solution to our issues, and install new garage doors, springs, and decorative hardware. Although there were a few issues with a couple sections of the new doors, which were caused by the manufacturer of the door, he took care of getting the sections that needed to be replaced done and installed the new sections quickly. He has excellent customer service and follow up!

Why Real Reviews Matter

Most garage door companies show curated testimonials on their websites — hand-picked, sometimes edited, sometimes paid for. I don’t do that. The reviews above are pulled live from Google. Every single one is from a real customer with a verified Google account, and they’re displayed exactly as they were written — including any that aren’t 5 stars.

Why does that matter? Because in this industry, fake or inflated reviews are common. National chains have entire marketing teams generating “review content,” and some smaller shops openly pay for positive reviews on third-party platforms. I’d rather have 51 real reviews than 500 fake ones, and I’d rather you see the actual feedback than a polished sales pitch.

If you’ve had a bad experience with a garage door contractor in the past, you know the gap between marketing language and reality. The reviews above are the unfiltered version — what my actual customers think about how I work.

Where to Find My Reviews

My reviews live on two main platforms. Both are public, verified, and free for you to read:

Google Business Profile

View my Google Business Profile for the full set of 51 Google reviews with a 5.0-star average. You can read every review in full, see when each was posted, and check the verified-purchase status. This is the most comprehensive source of customer feedback for my work.

BBB Accredited Business Profile

View my BBB profile for my BBB Accreditation status, A+ rating, complaint history, and BBB-specific reviews. BBB has stricter verification standards than most review platforms — every reviewer is independently verified, and complaints are handled through a formal mediation process.

A Note on Other Platforms

You won’t find me on Yelp, Angi (formerly Angie’s List), HomeAdvisor, or most lead-generation platforms. Those services charge contractors to be listed and to "win" leads, which means the reviews you see there are influenced by who’s paying for visibility — not who actually does the best work. I’d rather have my reviews on platforms where my customers post freely (Google) and where the verification process is independent (BBB).

What Customers Mention Most Often

Looking across my reviews, the same handful of themes come up repeatedly. Worth highlighting because these are the things customers actually care about — not the things marketing departments think customers should care about:

Honest Pricing

The most frequent comment across my reviews is some version of "the price he quoted on the phone was the price I paid." Flat-rate pricing isn’t a marketing gimmick — it’s the operating standard I committed to when I started Uplifting in 2024, and reviewers consistently confirm it’s how I actually run jobs. No mid-job add-ons, no diagnostic fees, no "while I’m already here" upsells.

Same-Day Response

A lot of reviews mention how fast I got there. Most service calls across Salt Lake County are completed the same day they’re requested. Emergency calls — broken springs at 9pm, doors stuck open overnight — usually get a response within 30-60 minutes. This is one of the operational advantages of being a solo owner-operator instead of a chain: when you call, you get me directly, and I’m the one making the dispatch decision.

Repair-First Approach

Several reviews specifically mention that I told them they didn’t need a full replacement when another contractor had quoted one. Repair-first is the ethical default in this work — most "you need a new door" calls actually only need a $300 spring replacement, and I’d rather do honest work than push unnecessary big-ticket sales.

Clear Communication

Reviewers consistently mention that I explained what was wrong and what I was doing in plain English. Garage door work involves a lot of mechanical components — springs, cables, drums, openers, sensors — and most customers haven’t seen them up close. I try to show you what’s happening with your door so you understand the repair, not just authorize it.

Worked With Me? Leave a Review

If I’ve worked on your garage door, I’d be grateful if you left a review. Honest feedback — good, bad, or mixed — helps me improve, and it helps future customers know what to expect.

Two places to leave a review:

Leave a Google review — Most visible to other customers and to Google search. Takes about 60 seconds.

Leave a BBB review — Requires BBB account but carries more weight as an independent verification.

If something went wrong with your service and you’d rather talk to me directly before posting publicly, call (801) 682-7586 and I’ll make it right. I’d much rather hear about a problem and fix it than have it surface in a review I could have addressed first.

Ready to Become the Next Review?

If you’re searching for garage door service in Salt Lake County and you want to see what real customers have to say first, you’ve already done your homework. The reviews above are honest. The work I do for you will be the same.
