Garage Door Pricing in Salt Lake County

I’m Brandon, and I own and run Uplifting Garage Doors myself — I answer the phone, I show up, and I do the work. Most garage door companies make you call just to find out what anything costs. I think that’s backward, so here’s a straight look at what my most common jobs run.

One thing before you read:

These are starting prices and most common costs to give you a real ballpark before you call. Every door and every repair is a little different — the age of your hardware, the size of your door, how it’s mounted, and what’s actually wrong all move the number. That’s exactly why I come out and quote the work for free, with no obligation. Use these to get oriented, then call me at (801) 682-7586 and I’ll give you a straight price for your door.

Why I’m not the cheapest — and why that’s good for you

You can always find someone cheaper. What you usually can’t find for that price is a licensed, insured contractor who answers his own phone, does the work himself, and stands behind it. I’m licensed with the state (Utah Contractor License #13874729-5501), I carry liability insurance, and every job comes with the warranty above. The cheap quote often skips one of those — and you find out which one when something goes wrong six months later. My prices are fair, quoted up front, and there are no surprise fees when I pull into your driveway.

FAQs About Garage Door Spring Replacement

No — not during normal business hours. Estimates are free and I quote the work for free; you pay for the repair or install itself, not for me to show up. The one exception is after-hours and holiday emergencies — see below.

Yes, and I’d rather tell you up front than surprise you in your driveway. I answer the phone 24/7, and for a true after-hours, weekend, or holiday visit there’s a flat $150 dispatch fee on top of the work. That’s not a markup on the repair — it’s what it costs to put me in the truck at 11 p.m. or on a holiday instead of the next business morning. I’ll tell you the fee before I head out, so you can decide whether it’s worth it or whether it can wait until regular hours.

Because the honest number depends on your door. A spring job on a standard single door is one price; a heavier double, a high-cycle upgrade, or a part that’s rusted in changes it. The “starting at” prices are real floors for the common version of each job — call me with what’s going on and I’ll get you a close number, usually on the spot.

For common repairs like a spring or an opener, usually yes — tell me what’s happening and I can give you a close ballpark. For a new door, I’ll want to see it first.

I start with what’s cheapest for you that’s still safe. If a repair buys you years, I’ll do the repair. If you’re throwing money at a worn-out door, I’ll tell you that too — and give you both numbers so it’s your call.

Not right now. If that changes, I’ll post it here — I’d rather not advertise something I can’t actually deliver yet.
