We use flat pricing — quoted before any work starts. No hourly rates, no diagnostic fees, no surprise add-ons mid-job. If diagnosing requires a visit, the inspection is free and we’ll quote everything before touching the door.

Most addresses across Salt Lake County are 15-30 minutes from my West Valley City shop. Same-day service is the norm — I aim to keep at least one open slot every weekday for emergency calls. I don’t charge a service call fee or a diagnostic fee — if you need an in-person inspection to figure out what’s wrong, the visit is free and you only pay if you approve the work. Response times are slower at night (typically 60-90 minutes to get on-site rather than 30), but the line is always open. Real emergencies — a car trapped inside, a door stuck open overnight, a door bent after impact — get prioritized regardless of the hour. For after-hours, weekend, and holiday visits, there’s a flat $150 dispatch fee, and I quote that number on the phone before I head your way — never a surprise on arrival.

A few things. First, you talk directly to the owner — no dispatcher, no scripts, no upsell pressure. Second, flat pricing instead of commission-based technicians who get paid more to upsell you. Third, I do repair-first work — if your door can be fixed for the cost of a part, I’m not going to recommend a full replacement.
